My Love Story with Road Life: How I Lived in a School Bus (For Free)
In 2021, I got the opportunity of a lifetime - to live and travel in a converted mini school bus for 6 months. I had been obsessed with vanlife for a while and was follow every related Instagram account I could find. One day, I stumbled on a post from the folks of Tiny Home Tours - they were looking for a solo female traveler to live in one of their busses for 6 months. I applied, thinking there is no way that I could ever be lucky to be chosen for something like that. To me, it seemed better than winning the lottery. Then I got the email… THEY PICKED ME!
What’s The Catch??
All I had to do in exchange was vlog my experience. I was able to take the bus anywhere I wanted. And the best part? I was allowed to bring a pet! I picked up the bus, and then two days later, picked up a puppy to share my new home with. Those 6 months changed my life and made me fall in love with life on the road.

I had so much fun decorating these 75 square feet and really making it feel like home. The owner of the bus even let me pick out the paint colors for the cabinets! It’s crazy what I learned I could live without. Never in a million years did I think I wouldn’t mind living without a shower.
